Dubai – Samsung has unveiled its new flagship smartphone the Galaxy S8 and S8+ and the new device is expected to reach UAE stores in three weeks along with other major markets across the globe. Dubai might get the Samsung’s new smartphone before London.
The Korean smartphone manufacturer has already started its pre-booking in the UAE at its website. Other retailers and online stores have also started pre-booking of the new gadget.
The new Galaxy S8 features a “infinity display” that’s larger than its predecessor. It also comes with its own voice assistant called Bixby, to rival Apple’s Siri.
The S8 ditches the physical home button in favoUr of a pressure-sensitive home button built into the screen.
The new device comes in two sizes, the 5.8-inch S8 and the 6.2-inch S8+. They feature a new design in which the “infinity display” wraps around the device, meaning that the large screen takes up almost all the front of the phone.
The phones were unveiled at packed events in New York and London, at which Samsung also unveiled a new version of its virtual reality headset, the Gear VR, and DeX, a dock that allows the S8 to turn into a desktop computer.
