Pakistan’s new federal cabinet will take oath on Friday

Islamabad – The new federal cabinet of ministers has been decided they will take oath on Friday morning. President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain will take the oath at 9 pm on Friday.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has declined to take any ministry. A couple of ministers of the previous cabinet will continue in the new cabinet such as Ishaq Dar as finance minister and Maryam Orangzeb.
Earlier, prime minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told reporters on Wednesday evening in Murree that the federal cabinet will be decided in two days. Abbasi mentioned the negotiations are on with Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to include him in the Cabint.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been elected new prime minister of Pakistan by securing 221 votes. His rivals Sheikh Rashid got 33 votes and Naveed Qatar of Pakistan’s Peoples Party got 47 votes. He will administer the oath by President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain lateron.
Earlier, the election for the prime minister of Pakistan was held in the National Assembly on Tuesday and there was no second opinion that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would be elected with a clear majority.
PML(N) has 188 seats in the National Assembly compared to only 172 votes are required to win the premier seat. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif got 244 votes in 2013 when he became the third time prime minister of Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif will be the successor of Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister of Pakistan and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be interim prime minister of Pakistan till the former get elected on National Assembly seat.
The name of the next prime minister of Pakistan was announced on Saturday during a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the Capital.

The meeting formally endorsed the decisions of Friday’s consultative moot which proposed the name of Shahbaz Sharif for the office of Prime Minister unanimously.
An interim prime minister will be brought in for 45 days to facilitate Shehbaz Sharif’s election as Member of the National Assembly from NA-120, Lahore, that has fallen vacant due to the verdict of the Supreme Court, source said.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will replace Nawaz Sharif as the prime minister of the country and Hamza Sharif will replace his father as Punjab chief minister, sources revealed.
