Dubai hosts Herschel’s first store in the Middle East; new collection launched

Dubai – Canadian travel accessories maker Herschel Supply Company on Wednesday, opened its first store in the Middle East with its partner Dubai-based Apparel Group in The Dubai Mall and they also launched Herschel Season Four 2017 Collection.
Apparel Group is a global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate residing at the crossroads of the modern economy – Dubai, the UAE. Today, the Apparel Group caters to thousands of eager shoppers through its more than 1,750 stores and over 75 brands across all platforms employing 12,000 multicultural staff covering four continents.
Herschel Supply Company’s Co-Founder and Managing Director Jamie Cormack liked the mall and the location of its outlet. Cormack said it’s nice to see Herschel located in the luggage and travel section next to brands such as Samsonite, Antler, and dnata Travel. The Dubai Mall is an important place for Herschel brand, he added.
A spokesperson for Herschel’s partner, Apparel Group, said that they were already in possession of the space at The Dubai Mall, and the mall was interested in having Herschel present.
The company now has 10,000 points of sale across 72 countries and a growing number of its own branded brick-and-mortar stores. Founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, Herschel Supply adopted the name of the town where three generations of their family grew up. Based in Vancouver, Canada, Herschel Supply is a design-driven global accessories brand that produces quality products with a fine regard for detail.
The luggage segment still has plenty of potential in the UAE, especially the more affordable and better-established brands, such as Herschel, despite the fact that it is highly competitive and slightly depressed market, according to a recent report of Euromonitor, released earlier this year.
New Collection
Drawing inspiration from the globally iconic city of New York and 1990s nostalgia, Herschel Supply proudly presents the Holiday 2017 Collection. This expanded range of lifestyle-driven products has been refined with carefully considered details and engineered for journeys near and far.
Herschel Supply’s passion for design, travel and everyday exploration has extended to the first-ever outerwear offering. This exciting new category includes thoughtfully tailored men’s and women’s silhouettes, including the water and wind-resistant Voyage Collection of lightweight packable, and the waterproof Forecast Collection of durable rainwear essentials.
