Dubai: SOUQ, the largest online retailer in the Middle East reveals that White Friday this year witnessed 10 million visits so far which is equivalent to the number of visitors at the biggest mall in the region.
On the first day more than 1 million items sold. Total 200,000 perfumes and make up products already sold. Customers are loving the SOUQ app with peak transactions at 70%. Furthermore 9 times more grocery were sold compared to last year.
However 50% of all transactions across the region done via E-payment with the UAE leading at over 65%. This is testimony to customers’ growing trust in online shopping.
Units per shopping cart has doubled from last year due to wider product selection and category mix. Lowest price of iphone with available stock to be delivered. Hourly Lightening deals are the hottest selling segment of the day.
SOUQ White Friday has brought about a revolution in the market driving all retailers to follow the trend.
