Dubai – Gulf Pinnacle Transport (GPT), one of the leading school bus transport providers in the UAE, on March 7 received the prestigious Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST) in the “Transport Safety” category at the 10th edition of the Award as the first winner.
The award is the highest recognition in the UAE transport system and also is one of the key initiatives developed by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to leverage public and private sectors to contribute to alleviating the traffic congestion and conserving the environment.
The companies who implement sustainable transport initiatives and practices are recognised and honoured under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. The awards type span over four categories namely Mobility Management, Transport Safety, Environment Protection and Transport for people of determination.
This year the awards were given away by HH Shaikh Ahmad Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the National Olympic Committee and Chairman of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
Nrupaditya Singhdeo, General Manager and Board Member of Gulf Pinnacle Transport, along with Ganesh Sivaraman, Senior Vice President of Gulf Pinnacle Transport, received the award.
Shailesh Dash, Chairman of Gulf Pinnacle Logistics, which is the holding company of Gulf Pinnacle Transport, congratulated the team for winning this prestigious award in a short span of time.

The GPT is privileged to be the recipient of ‘Dubai Award for Sustainable Transport (DAST)’ in the category of ‘Transport Safety’ for the initiative – ‘Sustainable Safety Framework and SMART Initiative’. Using this framework, GPT has improved its overall performance and minimised traffic violations and accidents. Similar organisations can use this framework and enhance transport safety and minimise road accidents.
In response to the swift growth of UAE, Dubai in particular, GPT has established an effective transport framework – ‘Sustainable Safety Framework and SMART Initiative’ through an integrated approach involving technological measures and operational best practices.
The Company had identified more than 75 serious hazards involved in the transport system and which were mitigated through 45 initiatives implemented through this transport safety model. This framework is developed with zero tolerance approach towards road safety incidents. It was developed and implemented in all their schools to address specific safety issues and concerns involved in various aspects of the transport system. It is unique, easy to follow can be effortlessly implemented by other schools and transport providers.
