INDIASOFT, the flagship IT event of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) to be held in Hyderabad on 4th & 5th February 2019, will bring over 500 foreign buyers from 60 countries. Close to 250 Indian ICT firms will display their products and solutions to the discerning buyers.
“Participation of foreign companies in INDIASOFT is a recent development. More and more foreign companies are showing interest in taking part in the show, because of its unique appeal and focus on small and medium IT segment. We hope that their participation will grow. At the same time, our target audience will remain as Indian SMEs and startups,” says Kamal Vachani, Regional Director, UAE, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council.
Billed as one of the largest shows in the IT domain, INDIASOFT is being held in different cities on a yearly basis in India. Supported by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, since its inception, this year’s show will have several new facets keeping in view the focus laid by the government to usher in a digital revolution in the country. The two-day show will enable the Indian IT companies to diversify to the new and emerging global markets, says D K Sareen, Executive Director, Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council.
“Keeping in tune with the focus laid down by the government for promoting startups in the digital domain, we expect a lot of small and mid-size companies and startups to participate at the show to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the foreign buyers.
ICT landscape globally is undergoing a change and Indian IT scenario would have to adapt to the changing needs of the overseas clients. Application of IT in other business sectors is increasing phenomenally be, it relates to governance, education, day to day handling of small businesses, e-commerce, or for providing services to households. Larger business units are considering IT as a different business activity and are outsourcing such works rather than doing it in-house. Also, a large number of developing countries and least developed countries are embarking on IT application, which would push up substantially the IT businesses.
Vachani said that INDIASOFT is designed to project India’s IT capabilities in tier 2 & 3 cities which are keen to work with their counterparts in new & emerging markets. It will also highlight that the Indian software industry possesses unmatchable quality software & services to offer.
ESC is hosting a large delegation from the Middle East at INDIASOFT 2019
Responses in the previous editions of Indiasoft Show were overwhelming. On an average, each edition of the event has generated a good amount of businesses, hand-holding, card exchanges etc. We expect that this year’s show will have more business focus on account of the radical changes taking place across the world for digitization and gradual penetration of internet. The delegates from developing and least developed countries, who form a major part of the foreign buyers, will explore the possibilities for entering into long term relationships with the Indian exhibitors in areas like ERP, legal outsourcing, e-governance, BPO, KPO, Cloud computing, Big Data Management, Mobile Application Services, Information security etc.
INDIASOFT SHOW seeks to improve the visibility of the Indian software industry especially, the SMEs and the startup companies in the global IT market. The focus would be on business services, e-security, finance, banking, Insurance, manufacturing, education & training, embedded software, animation, packaged software, and many more innovative technologies. “We hope to have a good participation from UAE in Indiasoft in Hyderabad in February. Indiasoft is a premier event in India on electronics and IT and ESC has always organised it exceptionally well. The ESC chapter in Dubai plays an important role in this regard as well as in facilitating India’s participation in Gitex. India is a world leader in the areas of IT & ITeS and I am happy that a number of Indian software companies such as WIPRO and TCS have a strong presence in UAE. I hope that this footprint will continue to increase with shared opportunities and work. To this end Indiasoft provides a great platform through which we can strengthen our cooperation in IT and new technology areas such as AI and blockchain,” says Vipul, Consul General, Consulate General of India in Dubai. -email@example.com
