As the UAE celebrated the empowerment that 2.65 million females enjoy in the Gulf country, a handful of medical professionals were busy raising awareness about the 34 symptoms of menopause – a key phase of every woman’s life and a core component of her health – on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.

Discussion on menopause – which generally affects women between the age group of 40 and 50 years – was hosted as part of the Women 34 Clinic campaign launched by Avivo Group to clear misconceptions that are generally linked to the sudden changes in the body functioning due to the natural ageing process.

Typical menopause symptoms, such as hot flashes or night sweats, are caused by changing hormone levels in the female reproductive system. Almost all women notice these symptoms in their 40s &50s. The Women 34 Clinic campaign will benefit most of the women population under the age group of 40s – 50s years in the UAE.”

Preventive health care as we age may include recommended health screening tests, such as colonoscopy, gynecological and pelvic exams, mammography and triglyceride screening, particularly in unclear pain situation. Life has 3 phases, Youth and puberty, Reproductive age, work, and family building. The third phase starts at menopause. It is the phase of life with happiness and love to live. Thus, the life after menopause canned should be the best and longest phase of life.”
