More UAE projects recognised for excellence

More national winners from the UAE have been revealed by organisers of the 2019 MEED Projects Awards, in association with Mashreq.

Recognised for projects excellence, among the national winners include Zayed Sports City Stadium Project nominated by MVP Tech (Innovation Medal); Dubai Industrial Park Wastewater Treatment Plant submitted by Corodex Industries (Water Project of the Year); Al Dhabi Contracting’s ADNOC Housing Complex, Ruwais Project (Residential Project of the Year); National Food Factory-Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi NFPC Mega Plant Project, submitted by Pioneer International Projects (Industrial project of the Year); The Founder’s Memorial, nominated by Thomas & Adamson International (Social, Cultural & Heritage Project of the Year); and Larsen & Toubro’s Improvement of Mafraq to Al Ghweifat Border Post Highway – Section 4A (One of the segment, Section 4A from Ch: 250+000 to Ch: 300+000 (50 km), from Himeem Interchange to Abu Al Abyad out of overall 327 km of Mafraq to Ghweifat International Highway Project (Road Project of the Year).

The Directorate of Public works Sharjah’s Rain Room Project as well as its Construction & Maintenance of Sharjah Book Authority in Muweileh Project were declared national winners in the Innovation Medal and Social, Cultural & Heritage Project of the Year categories, respectively; while Eco-Structures International’s Dubai American Academy Project was recognised as the Education Project of the Year and Sustainability Medal national winner.

A total of 29 national winners from the UAE will now be reviewed against its Gulf rivals for the regional honours to determine the final winners of the only awards programme in the region that recognises completed projects. –
