Gdynia, sailing Capital of Poland, is set to welcome around 15,000 trade visitors at the 14th edition of WIND and WATER on water Boat Show, which is scheduled between 18-21 July 2019. More than 130 exhibitors will participate in the boat show, and there will be over 120 vessels on display.

The four-day boat fair on the water is the only event in Poland, during which visitors will touch and feel the most beautiful sailing boats and motor yachts on the water, as well as the fastest scooters, modern sailing and motorboat equipment.

The boat show is organised by YACHT EXPO, Murator EXPO, in the partnership with the monthly Żagle. The strategic partner of the Fair is Gdynia – Sailing Capital of Poland.

The main goal of the WIND and WATER on the water is to promote water sports activities as well as to enable water sports enthusiasts to evaluate modern, worldwide known yachts and motorboats as well as to get acquainted with the newest trends in water sports equipment in their natural environment – on water.

Nearly 130 exhibitors will take part in this year’s Boat Show, including companies which will participate for the first time: Spradling EUROPE, PPHU Navigator Kamila Błaszkowska, Waterbus S.C.

In the Marina Gdynia, there will be about 120 units, in tent halls set on the quay: newest sailing accessories, motorboats, navigational equipment, belaying and rescue equipment, tourist and sports clothing as well as the offer of charters organizers.

Special guests
Special guests of the 14. WIND and WATER on water Boat Show will be Joanna Pajkowska, who recently completed a solo cruise around the world (Saturday, 12:30pm, the VIP tent) and Rafał Moszczyński, who sets off on a similar trip on the Gdynia – Gdynia route (Sunday 12.00pm, the VIP tent).

The 34th Baltic Sea Song Festival, an event accompanying the WIND and WATER on water, will be held in the Concert Shell in Gdynia on Saturday evening. Free to attend the event will welcome lovers of shanty music.

Nominations and awards
Traditionally, at the WIND and WATER on water, nominations in the competition “The Yacht of the Year in Poland – Polish Yacht of the Year 2020”, organized by the editors of the monthly Żagle, will be announced.

For the tenth time, the President of Gdynia will award the best products in the Gdynia YACHT Design competition, established to promote design in the water sports industry. The idea of this competition perfectly fits in with Gdynia’s strategy, since the city is focused on innovation, interesting design and well-designed public space. The jury will choose the most beautiful sailing and motor vessels presented at the Fair.

Its members include: Tadeusz Jelec – the famous Polish designer and Jaguar Design Manager; Bartosz Piotrowski – art PhD, designer of PESA, Leszek Gonciarz – passionate designer and yacht builder, architect; Stanisław Iwiński (secretary) – sailor, specialist in the field of sailing and motor yachts, head of the motorboat department of the monthly Żagle, Alicja Kotlarek – interior designer, 3D graphic designer at H2 Yacht Design and Jacek Oryl – director of the WIND and WATER Boat Show. We will meet the winners of the Competition on Saturday, July 20, at 12pm.
