Dubai – Al Maya Group is keen to increase its imports from India’s Haryana state specially rice as the state is a leading rice exporter.
This was discussed during a recent visit of Haryana State’s Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar during a meeting with Kamal Vachani, Group Director of Al Maya Group.
Al Maya Group imports a large quantity of rice from Haryana. During the interactive meeting with the Chief Minister of Haryana, Kamal Vachani said, “We are keen to increase our imports from Haryana.”
Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation is keen to market its Haryana Fresh brand products through the supermarkets of the Al Maya Group. During the discussion, Kamal Vachani promised to explore the possibility of sourcing products from small manufacturers in Haryana.
Al Maya Group, the UAE-based business conglomerate, has more than 50 supermarkets in the GCC countries in addition to other businesses.
Kamal Vachani thanked the Haryana Chief Minister and assured him full support from Al Maya Group for importing more and more commodities from Haryana. – abdulbasit@theuaenews.com
