Sharjah has planned to restart bus service with a 50 per cent capacity of passengers from Tuesday (Sept. 15), it has been announced and said the Jubail Bus Station will be operational from September 15 as well.
The Jubail Bus Station had been closed and the intercity bus service was shut down in April this year for fight against the outbreak of coronavirus in the Emirate.
In Sharjah, the bus service will be given under the strict safety and health steps for the safety of passengers. It was announced by the Sharjah emergency, crisis and disaster management authority.
Director-general of Central Operations at Sharjah Police Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Naour mentioned that the all commuters will go through a thermal body scan and after that they will be allowed to board the bus. All buses and vehicle will be subjected to sterilisation process soon after finishing the trip.
All the vehicles will have stickers mentioning and ensuring social distancing. It is mandatory for all passengers to wear face masks during the entire trip and hand sanitizsers will be available for all the commuters onboard.
