The UAE News report: Dubai will facilitate people coming to welcome new year at Burj Khalia by deploying 200 buses free of charge, according to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

In this regard, the RTA issued a statement and said to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain safety during New Year’s Eve celebrations it will implement an organised plan around the Burj Khalifa area, including the operation of 200 buses free of charge.

The free bus service will transport visitors from the event venue to metro stations in addition to taxi parking spots in each of the parking lots of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Musallah Al Eid hall in Al Mankhool and Al Wasl Club, so that people can reach them via the free

RTA will also use smart screens to alert drivers when roads are closed, monitor traffic lights on Financial Centre Road, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd, and control them to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during peak hours in coordination with the Emaar Operations Room.

For the public’s safety, the pedestrian bridges on the water canal, the water canal elevators, and the pedestrian pier on the Sheikh Zayed Bridge will be closed.
