The UAE News report: Passengers travelling through the Dubai International airport and also using Emirates airline are advised to reach early as its peak time of the year for the next seven days.
Both Dubai International Airport and Emirates airline have issued guidelines for travellers looking to enter or leave the country in the next few days.
From January 1-7, Dubai International airport, known as DXB, is expecting around 545,000 passengers to travel through the airport, with January 2 and 3 set to be the busiest days of the week. While the UAE authorities have imposed the strictest safety rules at the airport, they have advised travellers to adhere to Covid-19 guidelines.
Passengers should follow the below guidelines if they are flying out of Dubai:
> Check with airline about travel requirements specific to your journey.
> Carry a print out of a negative PCR test in English or Arabic.
> Wear protective face mask.
> Maintain social distance at all times.
> Do not travel if you are experiencing any Covid-19 symptoms, seek medical advice.
> Ensure you are carrying all your travel documents – passport, visa and other travel papers – and they are all up to date and valid before travel.
> Only ticket holders will be allowed inside the airport.
On Wednesday, Emirates also issued an advisory for passengers travelling on January 2-3.
> Check the latest travel requirements to their booked destination
> Arrive at the airport at least three hours before flight departure.
> Check the specific entry testing requirements from the country of departure.
> Those physically checking in at the airport should check in no later than three hours prior to departure, regardless of class of travel.
> Travellers can opt to check in online 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.
