The UAE News report: Pakistan has unveiled its beautiful logo for Expo 2020 Dubai and the theme at a grand media unveiling event in the presence of ministers and top government officials.
Under its theme “The Hidden Treasure”, with an attractive & inviting façade and an immersive walkthrough experience inside, it aims to showcase Pakistan’s vast opportunities in tourism and commerce & investment to the expected 25 million global audiences.
The curtain raiser event for Pakistan Pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai was attended by Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Information & Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Commerce & Investment Abdul Razak Dawood, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan CEO Arif Ahmed Khan, Trustees from Patrons of Expo 2020, and the Advisory Committee.
The Expo 2020 will be held in Dubai, UAE, from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022 and has a theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”. Hosting the first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region presents an endless opportunity to inspire, empower and drive lasting positive environmental, social and economic change on a global scale. A total participation of 192 countries will be seen in the event and each one of them will represent their strongest potential to the world.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest Chaudhary Fawad Hussain, Minister of Information & Broadcasting, said, “This is a great opportunity for Pakistan to show its immense potential to the world. Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Commerce & Investment also spoke and informed us that our Pavilion will attract investors and tourists to Pakistan.”
Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan Arif Ahmed Khan, in his welcome note, said that the expo would continue for six months and participation of at least 25 million people from across the globe was expected in the event.
Shahid Abdullah and Noor Jahan Bilgrami shared details about the inner journey of the pavilion and informed that it would be divided into eight spaces encompassing archaeological treasures, tourist and religious sites, handicrafts, natural resources, music, art, food, culture, modern industry and business and employment opportunities.
The pavilion would offer the virtual experience of Pakistan’s breathtaking landscapes, cultural and religious diversity, rich artisan traditions and strong economic potential, they said, adding that through the six months there would be many cultural events and business seminars held in multipurpose halls of the pavilion.
Visitors will be taken on a voyage through time, from the world’s first recorded civilizations to the fast-paced millennium of today which include virtual experiences of our breathtaking landscapes, cultural and religious diversity, rich artisan traditions, and strong economic potentials presented in the world of today. Pakistan will present itself as a “land of opportunities” for commerce and investment.
Also inside is a Pakistani cuisine restaurant by the name of “The Dhabba” and a souvenir shop that will be waiting for the visitors at the ending of their journey through the Pakistan pavilion. Depicting the impeccable crafts and providing a taste of the sumptuous cuisine from all parts of Pakistan.
Through the 6 months of Expo 2020 Dubai, there will be many cultural events and business seminars held in multi-purpose halls of the pavilion.
