Saudi Arabia Imposes Temporary Visa Ban on 14 Countries Ahead of Hajj 2025

THE UAE NEWS REPORT – In preparation for the upcoming Hajj season, Saudi Arabian authorities have imposed a temporary visa ban on 14 countries, including Pakistan.

The countries affected by the visa ban include Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, and Yemen.

The suspension affects multiple visa categories such as Umrah, business, and family visas. According to diplomatic sources, this measure is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to effectively manage the influx of pilgrims and ensure smooth facilitation of religious duties during the busy Hajj period.

The temporary ban is not permanent and is expected to remain in effect until mid-June 2025. Notably, individuals holding Umrah visas will be allowed entry into Saudi Arabia only until April 13, 2025. After this date, no further entries under Umrah visas will be permitted.

Sources have further warned that individuals who overstay during the ban period may face a five-year prohibition from re-entering the Kingdom.
