Carrefour, which Majid Al Futtaim owns the
exclusive rights to operate in the UAE, is set to launch its three-day
“Choose Better, Choose
Local” initiative on April 12 across select hypermarkets and supermarkets
in the country. This is
in line with Carrefour’s ‘’Choose Better’’ programme, and aims to support
local farmers,
contributing to the UAE's economic growth through securing a more
sustainable local food
supply chain from the supplier to the customer.
“Choose Better, Choose Local” also reflects Carrefour’s commitment to its
customers and
communities, providing them with access to fresh, high-quality produce at
competitive prices.
At the select stores, Carrefour will launch multiple customer activities
and engagements,
enabling them to learn more about the journey of local produce ‘from farm
to fork’. Special
discounts will also be available on a wide selection of locally sourced
fruits, vegetables, and
other fresh produce.
The fresh range and available activations will be held across select
Carrefour locations,
including hypermarkets in City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Zahia, and Al
Saqr, and supermarkets
in Al Wasl, Oasis Shopping Mall, Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Club, Souq Extra,
Avenue Mall – Nad
Al Shiba, Al Seef Abu Dhabi, MBZ Abu Dhabi, Arabian Ranches 1 and 2, The
