Dubai – 13 October marks one year since Dubai launched Digital Sale, enabling residents to complete property purchases entirely in a government app.
“All you need is your phone and the app. Then you can sign, put your money into escrow, and receive the title deed,” said Kashif Ansari, Group CEO, Juwai IQI. “It sounds simple, but virtually no one else around the world has been able to accomplish this.
“With the app-based process, the new title deed is issued instantly, as soon as both buyer and seller have signed and the money reaches the escrow account. Best of all, the service is always available, running 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“Dubai’s new system is light years ahead of other countries. In the UK, for example, it takes 17 weeks just to exchange contracts..
“Dubai’s Digital Sale process is also likely to get even better before other countries come close to matching it. Phase one is limited to UAE ID holders, single owners, mortgage-free properties, and subdivided units in freehold areas. We believe future phases will include corporate buyers, overseas buyers, and sellers who don’t have UAE IDs and the full range of property types.
“Innovations like Digital Sale have helped make Dubai’s real estate market a top performer. In 2025, Dubai had its biggest year, worth AED 917 billion. In 2026, sales values in the first quarter were up 31%. This performance brings the emirate close to its target of AED 1 Trillion under the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033.
“Dubai is far ahead and unlikely to lose its lead.”
