Mawarid Finance forays into healthcare sector, establishes Salma Hospital

Dubai – Mawarid Finance has started investment into the healthcare sector by establishing a specialised hospital in Abu Dhabi that will be named after the first female Emirati nurse ‘Salma Hospital.’
The healthcare facility which is located in Abu Dhabi in an area of approximately 6,000 sq. ft., shall be operating with state of the art systems and highly qualified and professional personnel; is going to provide an exceptional specialised health care service to be announced in due course.
Construction work approaches completion as the nation celebrates the “UAE Women’s Day” on August 28th; and in recognition of the great roles the UAE women play in different sectors and their achievements that have continuously contributed to the development of the country, the management decided that the hospital is to be named “Salma Hospital”, in honor of Salma Al Sharhan (1939 – 2014), who was the first Emirati female Nurse who continued devotedly to provide nursing services to her community for over 50 years.
Mohamed Al Nuaimi, CEO and Managing Director of Mawarid Finance who commented on this achievement said: “Investment in the health sector is in line with our strategy to achieve sustainable growth through diversification and investment in different business segments. Investment in this vital sector shall be successful in the short and long term; as this hospital has been established to respond to the growing needs of our society in healthcare in UAE.
Al Nuaimi added that the hospital shall provide its unique health care services exclusively to UAE nationals; and aims to respond to their needs to this specific service which shall be provided for the first time in UAE.
