Dubai Chamber finalises preparations for 6th Dubai-Hamburg Business Forum

Dubai: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has finalised its preparations to organise the 6th Dubai-Hamburg Business Forum which will be held on 30 November in the German port city of Hamburg.

The high-profile event, organised in cooperation with the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. The chamber will lead delegation of Dubai and Hamburg to meet with public and private sector stakeholders who will discuss recent efforts taken by both cities to embrace digitalisation, smart mobility, and fintech.

The forum held under the theme “Digitalisation – the Driver of Tomorrow’s Growth”, coincides with a high-level trade mission to Hamburg this week which is being led by Dubai Chamber.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chairman noted that the Dubai-Hamburg Business Forum was launched in 2007 as an important platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing between the two cities, which has developed into a major strategic partnership due to the combined efforts of Dubai Chamber and Hamburg Chamber.

“The theme of this year’s forum is very relevant to Dubai and Hamburg as both cities have seen rapid change and digital transformation in recent years. Dubai has achieved great progress in its mission to become one of the smartest cities in the world, while Hamburg is successfully leveraging the Internet of Things to maximise the advantages of digitalisation,” said Al Ghurair.

Dubai Chamber’s Chairman added: “We see huge potential for fruitful cooperation between Dubai and Hamburg in the areas of digitalisation, smart mobility and fintech, and look forward learning more about new technologies that are transforming the global economy.”
