To pay tribute to thousands of healthcare workers who have sacrificed their lives across the world to save human race from the Covid-19 pandemic, Person Matters has come out with one-of-its-kind coffee table book that lists the names and contribution of thousands of medics who have succumbed to the disease while at work.

“As the number of coronavirus cases have hit millions and more than 185,000 people have died so far across the world, the doctors, nurses and other medical professionals have been on the frontline to cure the Covid-19 patients. But in the process, many of them get infected and several others lose their lives,” Person Matters said in a statement.

“The 100-page coffee table book ‘The Covid-19 Warriors: Healthcare workers who sacrificed their lives for us’ is our humble attempt to appreciate our healthcare heroes who passed away while serving the humanity across the globe even when they did not have enough safety gears to save their own lives,” it added.

Healthcare workers have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to patients or infectious materials. The risks taken daily by the armies of doctors, nurses and healthcare workers treating coronavirus patients across the world have been starkly illustrated by a growing number of deaths.

“Thousands of medics have already lost their lives after contracting the disease from patients and the number is rising with each passing day,” said a Person Matters executive. “The rising tally also highlights the testing crisis and lack of enough protective gears for the front liners.”

“These healthcare workers serve the society daily throughout the year. But people rarely notice them. It’s high time that we acknowledge and appreciate their efforts and reward these unsung heroes. The coffee table book ‘The Covid-19 Warriors’ is a small step in this direction,” he pointed out.

“We hope that more individuals and organisations will come forward and do their bit to recognise the selfless services and crucial role played by these professionals in keeping the society healthy,” he added.

“The coffee table book ‘The Covid-19 Warriors: Healthcare Workers Who Sacrificed Their Lives For Us’ can be accessed for free at the our website www.personmatters.com,” Person Matters highlighted in a statement.
