The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Sunday reported 392 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 661 new recoveries.

As many as 48,000 new Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the country, the ministry added.
One new death from the infection was also announced.

In a statement, the ministry highlighted its aim to expand the scope of testing nationwide, to facilitate the early detection of Covid-19 cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

The ministry has also called upon the public to adhere to health guidelines and instructions from the relevant authorities, particularly concerning social distancing, for the sake of the health and safety of all.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, more than 1,700 Sharjah Municipality employees and 500 Souq Al Jubail vendors will be tested for Covid-19 in the second phase of the screening programme.

Meanwhile, in Abu Dhabi, a ‘Go Safe’ certification programme has launched across all attractions in the emirate, including malls, restaurants, theme parks and other public spaces to ensure that tourist sites are enforcing “global standards for safety and cleanliness” as they welcome visitors.
