The UAE News report: People looking for the PCR COVID-19 testing stations within malls in Dubai are allowed to go and get tested as walk-in customers from Sunday to Wednesday starting from 10am to 5pm and from Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm.
This was announced by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) on Thursday and added that operating hours have also changed.
It is added that testing stations at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira are open for walk-ins from Sunday to Wednesday from 10am to 5pm and from Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 7pm.
Before this announcement it was mandatory for all to book in advance before coming for the PCR test.
It is important to note, according to DHA, these PCR test stations are available only for those people who need testing for travel and other non-medical purpose. But those who are suffering from fever or having any other respiratory symptoms should not come to get tested at the malls.
It is added that each station has the capacity to conduct 180 tests per day. The cost of each PCR test will be Dh150 and the customers will get their results within 24 hours.
The DHA mentioned that the launching of COVID-19 PCR testing stations within malls in the emirate are in line with the Authority’s pre-emptive and precautionary measures to fight with the disease and is also in line with the DHA’s keenness to ensure that residents have easy access to Covid-19 PCR testing.
The DHA opened the three stations in coordination with the concerned and relevant authorities, while providing all the equipment and medical cadres needed— in line with the highest health and safety standards and protocols approved locally and internationally.
