The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on September 12, announced 1,007 new cases of the Covid-19 and 521 fresh recoveries. One death is also reported due to complications caused by the coronavirus. The 95,287 tests were performed to detect new cases of Covid-19 in the UAE.
In the UAE, for the first time daily Covid-19 cases have crossed the 1,000 milestone, which is very sad news for the country and its people.
Last Thursday, Dr Farida Al Hosani, spokeswoman for the UAE health sector, had stated that there has been a 5-fold rise in the coronavirus cases since August 10. She stated that 88 per cent of the cases detected were as a result of big or small gatherings and breaking the protocol of quarantine.
The authorities have been warning the residents for letting their guards down when a quick rise in coronavirus cases noticed recently.
It is stated that the UAE recorded a spike in coronavirus cases recently and the main reason of this rise is that people are not following SOPs and guidelines announced by the country to stop or reduce Covid-19 cases in the country. Social distancing and wearing masks all the time at congested places is important for fight against coronavirus.
The UAE, at 0.5 per cent, has one of the lowest death rates globally. The country with 90 per cent is among the highest recovery rate countries in the world. The UAE has conducted more than 7.9 million Covid-19 tests till date to combat the coronavirus outbreak. Health food is also most important to prevent COVID-19.
Last Thursday, authorities concerned conducted random visits to more than 500 stores to check the compliance and guidelines set by the government for coronavirus. The main reasons for these inspections is to give awareness to follow the guidelines.
During the inspections a free food restaurant was shut as it was encouraging a large gathering. The authorities also imposed fine on a fitness centre for the violation of the anti-coronavirus guidelines as it was not following the most important rule of social distancing.
In another development, tourist or visitors whose visas were expired after March 1 have to leave the country or change the status as the given deadline expired on September 11, 2020.
