The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday announced 241 new cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus and one death.

The total number of cases stand at 1,505 in UAE as of April 4.

In addition to 17 new recoveries reported today, the total number of recoveries stands at 125 in the country.

Dr. Farida Al Hosani, Director of Communicable Diseases at the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the official spokesperson for the health sector in the UAE, said in a virtual press briefing that one patient has also died taking the total number of deaths to 10 in UAE.

The deceased was identified as a 53-year-old Arab woman.

The government has recommended that everyone should wear masks when going out.
