The UAE News report: Mr. Deepak Arora, Chairman of City Diamond Group, received the prestigious “Vishwa Sindhi Divas” Inspiring Leaders Award 2021 on the sidelines of India-UAE Business Conclave 2021 at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai.

Mr. Deepak Arora was honoured by Rajeev Shukla, Vice President – BCCI and K.C. Tyagi,  General Secretary & Spokesperson  of Janata Dal United at a high-profile event in Dubai.

Mr. Deepak Arora is a long-time resident of the United Arab Emirates and he is working on India Pavilion at the World Expo 2020 Dubai, which is scheduled to open in October this year.

Mr. Arora’s City Diamond Contracting is developing the concept design received for the India Pavilion and has developed the detail design, engineering and procurement, and construction for the project. The 9,000 square metres structure is one of the largest pavilions and promises to be one of the most dynamic, engaging and sustainable pavilions at the Expo.

The project has incorporated several innovative technologies such as underfloor cooling to reduce the air conditioning consumption and provide energy saving; dynamic facade to provide a second skin to further enhance shading to the internal environment. 

The facade can further create patterns to show India’s rich history and extremely promising future. The special dynamic glass used in pavilion provides zero to ninety-nine per cent shading in order to improve the internal habitable space and reduce energy consumption. The shading is done using an electrochromic technology which can be programmed to work along with the angle of sun, time of day or any personal preference of the internal space habitants. – abdulbasit@theuaenews.com
