Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah organises Taekwondo ‘Belt Promotion Ceremony’

The UAE News: The Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah organised a ‘Belt Promotion Test Ceremony’ for its Taekwondo students and the event was attended by Taekwondo Master Wendy Ginnette Parra Daza from Colombia, South America,Dan: 4° Dan kukkiwon.

Students at the Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah were also given certificates and medals for their participations in the recent virtual Taekwondo events.

Master Salman Shakil Sheikh is the Head Coach at thePakistan Social Centre Sharjah. Mr. Sheikh is also International and National and International Referee and Coach of International Schools of Taekwondo Association Pakistan and UAE, UAE Taekwondo Federation’s, and Pakistan Taekwondo Federation.

Taekwondo Master Wendy Ginnette Parra Daza is the former national champion of the category junior and under 30 from 2008 to 2017, bogotá Colombia; former South American championship 2016; former champion in the team championship category “hanmadang 2014” held in South Korea; and former runner-up champion in the team championship category “hanmadang 2015” held in South Korea. She is also Taekwondo coach of the poomsae team, bogotá, Colombia.

Master Wendy gives the tips to the athletes and coaches them with poomsae (Blocking Stances in Taekwondo called poomsae, it’s Korean word) techniques and kicks techniques. All athletes were happy to learn Taekwondo Martial Arts techniques from International Master from Colombia, America.

Mr. Sheikh presented the belts and medals to the athletes. The event was held with limited guests due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Aththlete Sarah Salman Sheikh, from Pakistan,promoted to Red Belt. She was also givenInternational Gold Medallist Sri Lanka World Martial Arts Organisation Championship, Silver Medallist in Mexican Taekwondo poomsae Championship, Silver Medallist, Venezuela International Taekwondo Championships Kyorugi and poomsae.

Another athlete Brahmudath Binu Raj from India promoted to Sr.Blue Belt. Raj was also givenInternational Silver Medallist in Mexican Taekwondo Championship, Silver Medallist in WMDO SRI LANKA, Bronze medallist in Venezuela International Taekwondo Championships.

Huzaifa Anjum from Pakistan promoted to Blue Belt. She also received International silver medallist in Mexican Taekwondo Championship, International Silver Medallist in WMDO Sri Lanka and bronze Medallist in Venezuela International Taekwondo Championships.

Shiza Salman Sheikh from Pakistan prompted to green belt. She also received International Gold Medallist WMDO open Champion Sri LANKA, international Silver Medallist Mexico Taekwondo International championship, bronze medal in Venezuela International Taekwondo Championships Kyorugi and poomsae.

Rethvik Vineeth, from India, promoted to green belt. Rethvik was given International Gold Medallist in Venezuela International Taekwondo Championships, Silver Medallist in Mexican Taekwondo Championship and Silver medallist in WMDO OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP Sri Lanka.

Fatima Aleena from India promoted to Yellow Belt. Fatima also received International Silver Medallist Venezuela International Taekwondo Championship, Silver Medallist Mexico Taekwondo championship and Silver medallist WMDO International open Championship. 

Juan G. Jiby and Nathan G. Jiby youngest Taekwondo athletes from India of PSCS also present in test and got medals as best athletes.
