The UAE News: The Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah organised a ‘Taekwondo Martial Arts Competition and demonstration’ for Taekwondo students on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day, 14th August 2021

The event was attended by President Khalid Hussain Choudary and Board Members Ch. Iftikhar Ahmed, Imran Aslam, Executive Committee member Raja Muhammad Sarfaraz and other officials Sajad Akbar Khan, Abdul Rauf, Vice President PUJF Imran Khan Yusuf Zai, Taekwondo Master Muhammad Arif Bhatti of Pakistan Social Center Sharjah.

Addressing the officials and students, President Khalid Hussain Choudary said, “Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah always does its best efforts for Pakistani community and other countries’ people to help them in different fields as well as sports activities for their healthy futures. Mr. Choudary also congratulated and appreciated Pakistan Taekwondo Federation’s President, Mr. Lt. Colonel Raja Wasim Ahmed (R) for organising, ‘COAS Pakistan Open Taekwondo Championship 2021 International G1 which is for the first time ever in Pakistan.”
Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah UAE’s Head, Master Salman Shakil Sheikh appreciated and was thankful for the continued support by Pakistan Taekwondo Federation’s President, Mr. Lt. Colonel Raja Wasim Ahmed (R) and UAE Taekwondo Federation, to promote Taekwondo and Para-Taekwondo not only in the UAE and Pakistan but also across the globe. He further congratulated him for organising the COAS Pakistan Open Taekwondo Championship 2021 International G1 first time in Pakistan. All Pakistan national and International Taekwondo players participate in it to achieve their goals to become International Champion.
The Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah rewarded certificates to the participants for their great performances in the recent Taekwondo events. Master Salman Shakil Sheikh is the Head Coach at the Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah. Mr. Sheikh is also an International and National Referee and Coach of PSCS International Schools of Taekwondo Association Pakistan and UAE, UAE Taekwondo Federation’s, and Pakistan Taekwondo Federation.
Mr. President Khalid Hussain Choudary awarded certificates to the athletes. The event was held with limited guests due to the Covid-19 pandemic with proper SOPs.
Pakistan Social Centre Sharjah UAE coaches and athletes Mrs. Barkha Ramesh Kolhi from Sindh Pakistan. Athlete Sarah Salman Sheikh, Shiza Salman, Unsiya Hatim, Umme Hani Hatim from Pakistan, Brahmudath Binu Raj, Rethvik Vineeth, Thanveer Tahir, Fatima Aleena, Zahra Tamim, Adinath Adarsh, Juan G. Jiby, Nathan G. Jiby, Sreevin Vinod, Diya Vinod, Anna Mary Vijo, Daveedh Antony Vijo, youngest Taekwondo athletes from India had performed on Pakistan Independence Day celebration.
All Athletes also participated in demonstrations with their best in Poomse, Kyrugi (fight), breaking blocks, self-defence technics and Taekwondo Fitness Trainings. All Coaches and Athletes enjoyed the Pakistan Independence day celebration with an immense feeling of self-confidence and patriotism.
