UAE changes age limit for Covid vaccine

The UAE News report: In the latest move, the UAE government has announced that the UAE citizens and residents aged 16 years and above can now get the Covid-19 vaccine.

Previously, the minimum age to get the vaccine was 18 years.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention said the latest update is in line with its keenness to vaccinate the maximum number of people against the coronavirus.

The UAE continues to take top spot globally when it comes to vaccinating “medically eligible” residents against Covid-19.

The country has achieved a vaccine distribution rate of 25.12 doses per 100 people in this particular category.

The UAE vaccinated 84,852 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. The total doses administered now stands at 1.88 million.
