Saur Group has recorded 30 million safe man-hours under its operations and maintenance contract with Saudi Arabia’s National Water Company across the Eastern Cluster.
The milestone covers water operations in Dammam, Al Khobar and Jubail, as well as the wider Eastern Province. The company said the achievement reflects the work of its teams and collaboration with NWC and partners Miahona and Manila Water Company.
National Water Company recognition
NWC recognised the milestone at a ceremony attended by Christophe Tanguy, CEO of Saur Middle East, and Sébastien Terol, general manager of the Eastern Cluster.
The award was presented by Dr Fouad bin Ahmed Al Sheikh Mubarak, CEO of NWC; Eng Hamad Al-Qahtani, NWC’s deputy CEO; and Eng Adel bin Jamaan Alghamdi, head of the Eastern Cluster at NWC.
Tanguy said: “Achieving 30 million safe man-hours is a significant milestone that reflects the dedication of our teams and the strong safety culture embedded across our operations.”
He said safety forms part of operational delivery through structured training, emergency preparedness and continuous monitoring, and thanked NWC and the company’s partners for their collaboration.
Safety across water infrastructure
Saur said its quality, health, safety and environment framework includes employee training, field safety engagements, operational procedures, technical inspections and risk management.
Emergency preparedness and performance monitoring are also part of the framework, which the company said informs both planning and daily operations.
The water services company said it would continue supporting the development of safe, resilient and efficient water operations as Saudi Arabia expands its infrastructure in line with Vision 2030.
