The UAE News report: India has issued a new set of guidelines for airline passengers entering the country without PCR Covid-19 test report. In the latest announcement, the Indian government says all passengers coming to India and looking for an exemption from institutional quarantine without having a negative PCR Covid-19 test report in their hands may be asked for the test on arrival.

In case the airport does not have the testing facility then there will be mandatory seven days institutional quarantine and also seven days home quarantine, Indian Ministry of Health and Family Welfare explained.

Arriving passengers need to submit a negative PCR test result online (www.newdelhiairport.in) in case they are looking for institutional quarantine in India at least 72 hours before boarding. They are also required to give solid reasons such as a death in the family, serious illness, etc.

The test report must be submitted on the given government website for consideration. In addition, passengers also required to provide a declaration for the authenticity of the report and they will liable for criminal prosecution in case of the fake test report, the ministry said.

Passengers who could not submit in the self-declaration form on the website shall fill the same in duplicate during the flight on the plane and handover its copyto Health and Immigration officials at the airport.
