The UAE on Thursday evening announced 331 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. There are 29 recoveries for the same period and two deaths, according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

As part of its strategy, the Ministry conducted over 40,000 tests during the past two days to tackle the coronavirus situation.

The new cases, all of which are in a stable condition and being given the necessary medical treatment, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the country to 2,990.

The deaths included one person of Asian nationality and another of Arab nationality who were suffering from chronic diseases, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 14.

The full recovery of 29 patients brings the total number of recoveries to 268 in the UAE. The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery for all patients.
